So it is the day before Thanksgiving and you have survived the worst of it. You packed up in a flurry and most of your things are on its way to your new home. You now find yourself in temporary quarters and the holiday is tomorrow. As hard as it may be, try to think positive. At least you are not standing in your kitchen working your tail feather off to cook a huge meal that you will have left-overs until next week Sunday.
Try to do something different and fun for your family. There are many restaurants that are open and serve the family favorites. There are grocery stores that sell complete Thanksgiving meals. If you are staying in a place that has a kitchenette, it may be a great option for you. Take pictures. Play games. Go see a movie. Try to make it as memorable as you can. At the end of the day, it is temporary. You will be able to appreciate your next holiday in your new place and look back at this one and smile.
